OUTecoFEST is the first eco-festival held in Umbria (Italy) by the Association for Social Promotion EFFETTO, and it is devoted to sports, hiking, live music and km 0-slow food and wine.
From wednesday, July 3 to sunday, July 7, the highest fall in Europe, Marmore Waterfalls in Terni, will host five days of concerts, performance arts and extreme sports, with a constant overlook for ecological sustainability. Accounting on the local Institutions, Out Eco Fest makes a bid for becoming an international meeting for all those fond of sports and nature, as well as music and culture, counting on a wide program of multidisciplinary activities.
At day-time: canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, rowing, trekking, MTB, downhill, freeride, horse-riding, spelunking and freeclimbing are just some of the activities that will adjoin the many workshops, performative stages (satire, theatre, etc.) in addition to an afternoon music stage that will host emerging bands, DJ sets and a chill-out area endowed with hammocks.
At night-time: a wide variety of musical proposes will move along orchestras such as the multiethnic Med Free Orkestra, that were all the rage at the Auditorium Santa Cecilia in Rome, in addition to foreign bands such as the Ma’Grass with their funk from London, and the rock italian band Underdog that, soon after the OUTecoFEST, will be at the Sziget Festival in Budapest. And still, the pioneer of the Italian hip hop scene Kaos with Dj Craim, and the electro-blues duo The Cyborgs that last September managed to endear the rock iguana, Iggy Pop.
Finally, everynight the best of european electronic music: from electro-swing to techno, counting on italian artists the likes of Maztek, Dj Tuppi, and foreign ones such as Tha Electronic Conspiracy, K.D.S, Missil, Raving George, and much more. And the amazing Marmore Waterfalls will frame all of this, with the main-stage placed at 50 metres from the fall.
For accomodation, different options are available: you can either stay on-site in the festival area, or at 5 minutes by car/shuttle service at the Piediluco lake where bathing is possible, both in free and equipped beaches. Different options of access to the festival are available too: the one night ticket, a subscription for the access to the concerts, and the all-inclusive subscription that also allows the access to one of the two equipped campings.
In the festival area, different services will be in operation: a km 0 hash-house, a barbecue stand with local meats, vegan and vegeterian point, fruit-bar, km 0 flea market, in addition to many bars and info points. Moreover, a shuttle service will connect Terni FS Station with the festival area, Marmore with the Piediluco lake and the camping with the many sports activities on the area.

Out Eco Fest è il primo ecofestival realizzato in Umbria dall’Associazione di Promozione Sociale “Effetto” e dedicato ad attività sportive ed escursionistiche, intrattenimento musicale e cultura enogastronomica. Da mercoledì 3 Luglio a domenica 7 Luglio 2013, cinque giornate di concerti, arti performative, sport estremi ed eco-sostenibilità presso il più alto salto d’Europa, la Cascata delle Marmore a Terni. Patrocinato dal Comune e da altri organi istituzionali, l’Out Eco Fest si propone come un appuntamento nazionale per tutti gli appassionati di sport e natura, come di musica e cultura, offrendo un programma denso di attività multidisciplinari.
Di giorno, canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, canottaggio, trekking, equitazione, mountain bike, speleologia, freeclimbing saranno solo una parte delle attività sportive proposte, oltre a molti workshops, un palco performativo (satira, teatro, ecc) e un music-stage pomeridiano dedicato a band emergenti, locali e non. Di sera, il main-stage del festival (a cinquanta metri dal salto della cascata!) vedrà l’alternarsi di musicisti italiani e stranieri, da orchestre multietniche a ospiti elettronici di prestigio europeo.
Diverse le possibilità logistiche: una on-site nell’area del festival a Marmore, l’altra a 5 minuti di distanza presso il Lago di Piediluco che permette anche la balneazione, sia in spiagge libere che in lidi attrezzati. Molte anche le soluzioni di accesso al festival, dal singolo biglietto serale all’abbonamento per l’accesso a più concerti fino ai pacchetti all-inlcusive che comprendono anche l’ospitalità presso uno dei due campeggi attrezzati.
In funzione nell’area del festival: eco-trattoria, griglieria di carni umbre, punto vegano e vegetariano, fruit-bar, mercatino a chilometro zero, oltre a molti bar e info-point. Un servizio navette sarà attivo per collegare la Stazione FS di Terni con l’area del festival, la zona di Marmore con il Lago di Piediluco e i campeggi con le varie attività sportive del territorio.
